Who is DEG?
Discount Energy Group (or DEG for short) provides an alternative to your utility company for electric supply.
DEG is able to offer competitive rates, and in some cases long-term fixed plans. Give you peace of mind while avoiding potentially wild price fluctuations
How is this possible? What's Deregulation?
Orignally your local utility was responsible for both supplying and delivering your energy, but in recent years legislation changed
that and has given you a choice. Your utility does not penalize you, and many encourage you to shop around for your electric supply.
Cost to switch?
There are no enrollment fees or other hidden fees to switch to DEG. (If you are currently with a 3rd party energy supplier, you may
want to check that they won't charge you a cancellation fee to leave them.)

We are! DEG is experienced, licensed and customer focused. DEG's expert energy traders, operations and customer service teams work hard to
bring excellent value and service to our customers.
When does my DEG service start?
Once enrolled, your electricity will begin flowing from DEG after your next meter read. This typically takes 14 to 45 days,
and happens automatically for you.
Will I lose power if I switch?
No, there will be no interruption of service as you're switched from your utility to DEG for your electric supply.
Help! Emergency! Who do I call?
Your local utility company still maintains the delivery system, reliability of your power, and would handle any physical service or
outages for you. Your local utility company is still there to service and support you.
Does my bill change?
No, you'll still receive the same bill and still pay the same way you do now. The only difference is DEG will be listed on your bill
as your electric supplier.
Do I need to notify my utility company?
No. In fact, once you are enrolled with DEG, you'll receive a letter from your utility company confirming DEG as your new electric supplier.
